Someone posted this video on the Facebook group page and I loved it so much I decided to post it here. I am totally feeling what Stewie is right now. Enjoy!

Excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Okay, so this morning I was going along, minding my own business, when ... BAM! ... I was hit with a huge wave of excitement. I am going to Walt Disney World in 23 Days. Oh my Mickey!
I pulled out the huge pink tote that I already packed and pulled everything out of it. I had to make a list of everything I was packing into it so that I didn't pack something I don't need. I've also started picking out other things I want to take to Disney with me.
After Christmas, I have been left with many a new DVD including the new Beauty and the Beast to bring with me. I've also got the latest Tink movie and some new Tink decorations that will also be joining me at Disney.
Oh goodness, I can't wait to get down there already. Other than going over packing lists, there's not much else been going on. Though I do need to create my postcard list. Basically, what I'm going to do is make labels of all the address I need to send post cards to. Friends, family and the like.
I've decided that in addition to the usual, "Wish you were here" cards, I'm also going to collect autographs from the characters to send to my cousins and, you know, the kids in the family, etc.
I keep thinking about what I want to do first when I get down there. What park to go to, what ride to go on, what store I want to shop at. So much to do and, finally, so much time to do it in.

OMG! 28 Days!!
I can't believe I've got less than 1 month to go until check in. I've got a bunch of stuff packed already and after my sister, Aly, goes back to Florida on January 2, I'll use the guest room to put everything I'm taking in there. I've still got to finish making a proper packing list. My mom will probably have to help me figure ut what to take and what to leave here. I've only ever lived with my parents (and I'm 23 almost 24 :C ).
Last night was the company holiday party and everyone had such a great time. Food, games (pie-eating contest and donut on a string contest), music and a movie (National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation). The movie was my manager, Kirk's, idea; it's his favourite movie. It was so much fun. I got all dolled up, I never get the chance to dress nice so I went all out. Bought a new top and got my nails done and everything. And my secret santa got me a wonderful bottle of Britney Spears perfume, Believe. It smells amazing.
Anyways, I'm getting more and more excited about leaving for Florida. But at the same time, I don't want to leave my job. I love working with everyone there.

47 Days
Holy Potatoes!
I've only got 47 days left until Check-In.
I just made a countdown calendar so I can see the days lessening without having to turn on my computer.
I'm getting really excited now. It's crazy. In about a month and a half, I'll be in Florida at my new apartment, or possible at Downtown disney shopping.
Found this pic on Google images and thought it was pretty cool.
Enjoy a magical evening.

Disney On The Brain
The last couple of weeks I've had Disney on the brain a lot. I've been thinking of the stuff I packed, what I still need to pack, etc.
I can't wait til I check in to the program.

Thinking ...
I've been thinking about Disney more and more latel It seems to be on my mind more now that I've got less than 2 months left. I think about my apartment and what it's going to look like, how I want to set up my bedroom, and where I'll want to put the TV.
I think about going to the parks on my days off and getting to experience everything I didn't have time to when I visited last time. Like all the shows and parades I want to see. Or the rides I didn't try yet.
I haven't really wondered about my roommate yet. At least I hadn't until i started writing this post. I hope we get along well. And that we can work well together to keep the apartment clean. It would suck having someone who doesn't clean up after themselves.
I know that, myself, can get a little messy but I keep that to my room/area. And I don't especially enjoy doing the dishes, but I will.

Come to think of it, I think I should probably have a meeting with my roommate on the first day to come up with some apartment rules and maybe a chores list. That way there will be less arguing later on.

So Lame...
I admit it, I have fallen into the ranks of the lame blogger. I haven't written in what, a month or so. I'm sorry. The reason for my not writing has a lot to do with the fact that there's not much going on right now. At least Disney-wise.
I've been busy with school and work lately, including a big group project/presentation for my Interpersonal Communication class.
As for Disney news, I've finalized my plans for getting down there. January 13th will be my last day at AMC, then, on January 14th, my mom and I will drive to Jersey to visit with some friends of hers. On January 16th, Sunday morning, we'll start the first leg of the drive to Florida. We'll be staying the night in a motel probably in South Carolina or something. The next morning we'll get up and drive the rest of the way to Florida.
That night we'll stay at my sister's apartment in Winter Park. The next day is shopping and then bright and frickin' early on the 19th my mom will drop me off at Vista Way for Check-In. Check-in, technically, starts at 9 am but they let people into the gates starting at 8 am but I want to get there for at least 7 am so that I can, hopefully, get my first choice in apartment.
I'm really hoping for a 1 bedroom in Patterson Court but of course I'll settle for a 2 bedroom in either Patterson or Chatham Square. I do not, however, want to get Vista at all. I value peace and quiet.
I check in on the Facebook group page from time to time to see what's going on. The two most popular Wall Posts seem to be "Looking for a roommate on (fill in the blank)" and "I'm so excited!"
For me, once I knew that I got in to the program and had most of my plans made, my level of excitement dropped a little. Okay, it dropped a lot. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to get down there, but I'm not jumping up and down, having trouble concentrating kind of excited anymore. Of course, every so often now I get a thrill and my brain goes "OH MY GOD! I'M GOING TO DISNEY!" But for me, mostly, I was concerned with budgeting money while in Florida and saving money before going to Florida.
I've got it all figured out now. And I should be able to save plenty of money while down there too. Which is good because I need to be able to get home somehow and I'm gonna need to mpay for school when I get home as well. My parents will probably help out a little but I prefer to pay for things myself.
Speaking (or writing) of money, I have come to the conclusion, and maybe I've written this before, that I will not be able to afford to bring my car down with me. Or I could afford it but nothing else and I wouldn't be able to save any money. So i will be relying on the shuttles to get me to and from work/the parks and public trnasportation for going to the stores or my sister's apartment.
I think this week will be a good week to pull out all the totes that I have for Disney and go through them all. At least if I can get my room organized enough I will. Not to mention I have to get to packing up all of the stuff in my room because there's a chance that I'll be coming back to CT to a new house or to a house in the process of moving.
In other news, I had to go to my local mall to pick up Assassin's Creed 3 for my sister's xmas gift and I stopped in at the Disney store (the only one left in CT :D) and they now carry Vinylmation figurines. They look so cute. Much better in real life than they do online. I can't wait to visit D-Street to see all of them.
Until next time, have a magical night.

Nothing New
I haven't written anything in quite awhile now but that is because there hasn't been anything new going on in awhile. In fact, if you read other blogs written by CPers in the past, this time period is always a little lean on blog posts. That's because the application process and the waiting period are over. And yes, I am currently waiting to move down to Florida, but it's not as nerve-wracking as waiting to hear whether I got into the program or not.
I've already bought most of what I'll need to bring down to Florida with me and now I just need to plan how I'm getting down there.
My mom and I are going to drive down, us in her van and my car towed behind us. See that's the thing. Even though Disney provides shuttles to and from all the work locations and some local things like Walmart and grocery shopping, I have come to be spoiled when it comes to the freedom of having my own car. I want to be able to go out whenever the mood strikes me and not have to wait for a bus or something. So, because my car probably wouldn 't make it all the way down to Florida on its own and surrive the whole 7 months I'll be down there, I will need to tow it.
There is a chance that I'll be inheriting my Dad's current car in November or early December, but that's only if they can afford buying him a new car. Otherwise it's my 2001 Kia Sephia that I'll be taking down with me. I know that I could probably get away with not taking a car with me but I really would prefer to have my own form of transportation.
On other news, getting home from Florida is becoming quite the hassle. The thing is, my parents go on this 2-week camping trip every year with the SCA. For those of you who are not familiar with the SCA, it is a medieval re-enactment group that is country-wide (and some other countries too). Anyways, this year, or next August, my program end-date falls within the middle weekend of their trip. If my sister is still in Florida next summer (she is in FullSail U. for grad school) then I can stay with her until their trip is done, but chances are, she won't still be there.
The best option right now is for my Dad to fly from PA (where Pennsic is) to Florida, drive with me back to CT and then fly back to PA for the rest of Pennsic. How complicated, right?
Oh well.
I've also been helping my mom plan a Disney vacation that she and my Gramma will be taking in May while I'm in the program. They want to visit me and my sister and spend some time in Disney while I can get them discounts and free park passes. I love being able to share all of my Disney knowledge with her. She bought a Birnbaum guide book to Disney and every so often she'll look up from the book and say what's this? or what does this mean? And I can usually answer. The only problem is that we can't plan everything until after I check into the program and stuff. Until then, it's mostly basic planning, like where they want to stay (she's thinking Pop Century) and what parks they want to go to.
I think that's it for now.

Planning
Right now I'm in the planning and shopping phase of waiting. I've been researching car insurance, gas prices, motel costs, and buying supplies and things I might need for Florida lately.
Eventually I'll post a packing blog but for now I'll just tell you some of the things I've bought for Florida.
I know I still want to buy food containers and a toaster, an ironing board(table-top) and clothes iron. But I guess those will have to wait til I get paid next. :D
Bye for now!

- bed-in-a-bag
- over the bed shelf system
- a boyfriend pillow (the ones that look like part of a chair)
- a clip-on desk lamp for the shelf system
- over-the-door hooks for the bathroom (towels, robes, etc.)
- suction cup shower shelf for storing my shampoo, conditioner, scrubbie, etc.
- hanging shelves for the closet (shoe shelf, sweater shelf, pants shelf) to save space in the drawers
- a large pink tote for bringing all my clothes down in

I GOT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got my purple folder today in the mail!!!
I have been accepted as a Spring Advantage 2011 Merchandise Castmember for the Disney College Program!
I have been avoiding posting anything for awhile because I had started to become a little bitter. You see about a week or so ago, I read on Facebook that the first batch of acceptance e-mails had been sent out. Then 2 days later another batch went out, then the day after, then last Monday and Wednesday, I think. Needless to say I was not happy that I hadn't heard anything from Disney. I was uber happy for all my Facebook friends that they were getting in, but I had interviewed before most of them and they were all getting accepted.
So here's how I found out:
I had to work the morning shift at the theatre today so I was going to rely on my Mom to let me know anything. I texted her about 1:30pm to see if the mail had come yet and if I had gotten anything in it. A few hours later, I was walking to a projector when I could hear music. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from; I thought maybe I had left the booth music on for a projector. Then I felt my pocket vibrating. I pulled out my cell phone (strictly against the rules ;D) and saw my mom was calling. By the time I opened my phone, the call had ended, so I called her back.
After I said hello, she proceded to inform me that there was a large, white, thick envelope with Disney and my name on it was in her hands. So I quickly told her to open it and read what the letter said. I was so happy and relieved when it said Congratulations.
After I hung up the phone, I walked over to a projector to start a movie and as I waited for the start time, the realization that I was actually IN hit my body. I got a huge whoosh of adrenaline all through my body. After I started the movie, I practically ran down the booth stairs to my manager, James. I had told James about the DCP and that I had applied. Applications actually came out on the first day of his Disney Vacation. Anyways, I got downstairs and found James. By this point I could barely contain myself. I was like "Guess What?!" "I got in!" He is very happy for me; all my managers/supervisors seem to be.
When I got home I got to read the letter for myself and accept the invitation online.
So officially, I check-in to the Disney College Program on Wednesday January 19, 2010.
Wow, this is such a relieft. Now I can relax and plan, fully, for the program. I can't believe that in less than 4 months, I will be in Florida, working for the mouse. That's one step closer to my dream job of working on the Disney Cruise Line.
Alright folks, I think that's all for today, I'll probably write more soon.
Magical wishes and pixie dust for everyone!

September 3
It is now the 3rd of September and that means ... it's back to school time, homework time, and waiting for purple folders time. Yea!
The latest news concerning the purple folders, or e-mails, is that the "pending" e-mails have gone out. That doesn't mean that the applicants were rejected, just that Disney needs more time to decide whether they fit the program. Many of us on the Facebook group are hoping that means the acceptance/rejection letters are coming out soon. We can only hope!
Not too much else exciting has been happening on the Disney front so until the e-mails/folders start going out, I doubt I'll have much to write about. At least not Disney related. Though my theater has been showing commercials for a special Beauty and the Beast Sing-along event that will be happening at the end of September and early October; looks interesting. But it's another way for Disney to creep into my life.
On a different note, I've been reading the Sookie Stachouse books lately. For those of you who don't knwo what I'm talking about, the Sookie Stackhouse novels are the books that TrueBlood was based on. The first season of True Blood is a lot like the first novel aside from a few difference, unlike most book-to-TV/Movies do. I'm really enjkoying the series and encourage you to try them as well.
That's all for today, folks!

Tired
I am soooooooooo tired of waiting for that purple e-mail already. I'm tired of constantly checking ym e-mail fifty times a day. I just wish I knew already.
So today I drove all the way to school for my note taking class only to find out the class was cancelled. So I drove all the way back home. I might have just stayed until my classes tonight but I have a dentist appointment today at 3pm so I had to come back. Of course, then I'll have to drive to school again for my own classes. What a waste of gas. =C
Sometimes I wish life were simpler.
Why can't it be January already?

1st Day of Classes!
My brain was actually forced to stop thinking of Disney for 2 classes this morning. I am a note taker at my college and had 2 math classes I was taking noted in at 8:30 am and 1:00 pm. Because I'm getting paid to do this, my brain checked out of Disney World and into Math World. ;D
Tonight I have 2 of my own classes to attend; Word Processing Applications 2 and Computerized Office Applications. I've already completed almost half the class/homework for WP2 but I haven't even looked at the COA textbooks yet. At least I know what to expect with the WP2 class as I had that teacher last semester for WP1. I should be able to leave classes early on Monday nights as long as my work is done.
Tomorrow I have Interpersonal Communications. (yea! can you hear the sarcasm?) The only reason I'm taking this class is because my advisor signed me up for a certificate program as well as my Associate program. Blech! Not my idea of a fun class, but the textbook has been an interesting if repetitive read so far.
If you haven't noticed, I like to read ahead in my classes and get as much of the assigned homework as possible before hand just in case. That way I'm safe if I forget or something comes up.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy potatoes ... 12 Days already!!!!
I don't know if I can handle this. The wait is literally driving me insane. How can a brain handle this much Disney thought?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyways, enjoy your day.

11 Days!
Could time have slowed down to a crawl? Some days I think so. I am now on day 11 of my wait and it's killing me. (And just so you know, I'll probably post similar thoughts everyday til I get accepted; yes I said accepted. I don't believe I won't get in)
I keep trolling the Facebook group for new discussions or wall posts. Anything to keep me sane.
My parents had a couple of friends over this weekend and one them was wearing a Goofy T-shirt today. It said "My mother says I'm Special." I loved it. Plus, it was Disney.
Holy potatoes this wait better not be too much longer! I'll probably take my laptop to school with me tomorrow so I can keep checking my e-mail. C=

Freaking Out
I am totally freaking out right now. It's been 10 days since my phone interview and every chanc eI get, I'm checking my e-mail to see if I've gotten that acceptanc e-mail. My mind has not stopped thinking about Disney things since my interview. Even at work I can't keep my mind off it.
In addition to checking my e-mail, I keep checking the Facebook group page. I'm telling you, it's a life saver. I wouldn't be able to survive the wait without you guys. D-Fam 2011 is starting off nicely. There are even nightly Skyoe chats. I haven't them yet cause I don't have a webcam or videocamera. But I did sign up for a Skype account the other day so maybe I'll try joining in soon.
School is about to start for me so maybe that'll hold my attention for awhile. My first classes are on Monday. Yea! I'm taking 4 classes this semester plus, I have a note-taking job for the Academic Support Center, which means I'll be attending 2 additional math classes to take notes for other students.
I'm hoping this school semester goes by quickly. I can't wait to go down to Florida. The nice warm weather will be nice after a cold Connecticut winter. I keep making plans for moving down there even though I haven't been accepted yet. Maybe I'm jinxing myself but I can't help it.
Did I mention I'm freaking out?
In addition to checking my e-mail, I keep checking the Facebook group page. I'm telling you, it's a life saver. I wouldn't be able to survive the wait without you guys. Playlist
So I think I'm now on Day 8 of "The Wait" and I have not stopped thinking of Disney yet. I wish I could just know already so my thoughts aren't continually on Disney. Of course even if I do get in, I'll be thinking about getting down to Disney.
Anyways, to pass the time (and stop bugging my mom) I've spent a couple hours today downloading and making a playlist of Disney music to listen to.
These are the songs I've included:

One Week
It has now been a whole week since I applied and had my phone interview. Even though my interviewer said it would be 3-4 weeks before I found out, I can't help but check my e-mail every day just in case.
I'm driving everyone around me crazy with all my Disney talk. To pass the time waiting, I like to "stalk" CP blogs; past and present, watch youtube videos like tours of the apartments and stuff.
I've also been reading Disney Vacation books.
Birnbaum's Guide to Walt Disney World is a great guide to use when planning a trip to Disney. And since they update it every year, it had some great information.
Also available are the Walt Disney World -Without Kids, Walt Disney World With Kids, Walt Disney World Dining, and Walt Disney World Cruise Line.
Now, I'm not gay but a former co-worker (a Disney nut like myself) lent me a copy of this book. It had some great information on the parks and ride, etc. The authors also include what they call, Fairy Facts, little tidbits on behind the scenes stuff, or trivia, i.e. Prince Charming Carousel in Fantasyland is from New Jersey.
My next aquisition will, hopefully, be Mousekatraz; a book written by a former CPer about the program.
Well, until next time, Have a Magical Day!

Waiting ...
So now comes the portion of the application process called "Waiting For that Purple Folder." For those of you who may not know, Disney sends out the acceptance letters in a purple folder.
I thought for this post I'd list the locations I'd like to work at in Disney; all of which are in the Magic Kingdom.
1. Tinkerbell's Treasure:
Tink is my homegirl and I would love, love, love to work in this store every day.
2. Disney Clothiers:
I love the look of this store and the fact that it's on Mainstreet. I'd get to see guests when they first come into the park and before they leave.
3. Agrabah Bazaar:
This is a pretty cool location to work. The decor is amazing and I love the Morroccan feel to it. Plus, this is where I first met Aladdin and Jasmine.
4. Ye Olde Chistmas Shoppe:
Christmas is my favourite holiday and even though I might not extend my program to stay til Christmas, I think working here would keep the holiday spirit with me in Disney.
I have other locations that I wouldn't mind working, but they're in teh other parks. I'll list those locations in another post.
For now take care and have a Magical day !

Phone Interview
Phew! My phone interview is over. Now I can breathe and let my body return to it's normal relaxed state. What a rush though. I was up super late last night cause I was too excited to sleep. I was kinda like that commercial of the 2 kids on the night before they go to Disney. It was like 1:30 in the morning before I felt tired enough to sleep and even then I had to force myself not to think about it. My mind was going 10 miles a minute thinking of Disney.
My interviewers name was Lindsay and she was really nice and sweet. she sounded very bubbly and we laughed a lot throughout the interview.
So I know a lot of people like to know what questions they ask during the interview so I'm going to list a few of them here. I won't list all of them cause 1) it can be different for eveybody and 2) I don't even remember all of them =D
1. Why do want to do the Disney College Program?
2. What roles are you particularly excited about?
3. Is there a specific park or part of a park that is really special or important to you?
4. Have I ever handled cash and money before? When? (Merchandise specific)
5. Do I have any aversions to chemicals or latex? (Housekeeping specific)
6. What kind of experience do I have with photography? Even if I think it's amateur they might not, so list anything. (PhotoPass Photography specific)
7. Have I worked in a team before? Do I think I work better in a team or alone? *Be honest*
As for tips I would give:
- Be honest with the interviewer; they're not looking for canned responses.
- Make sure to smile, they can hear it in your voice.
- Think before you speak; it's okay to take a moment to think about the question before answering.
- If you find yourself short of breath or speaking rapidly, pause for a moment, collect yourself and move on.
- Just believe that you'll do great and be excited; they expect you to be happy.
So now, we wait. Lindsay said that normally, she would tell me that the responses come out 3-4 weeks after the interview but because I had my interview on the first possible day (and one of the very first interviews overall) that it could take up to 6 weeks before I hear anything. I hope that's not the case but you never know. I think that because there are so many of us on the Facebook page that are applying early, that we'll maybe hear back sooner than that.
So Good Luck to anyone who still has to do their interview and good luck to those of you who are just applying.
Have a spectacularly magical day!

CP Applications!!!
Oh My God!!!!!!!!!!!!
After 2 days of rumors and speculations, the CP apps are out today. I watched the e-presentation the minute I found out they were out on Facebook. Of course I seen the presentation a bunch of times so I mostly skipped through it. But then I got to fill out the application and complete the web interview. The WI wasn't that hard, more like filling out an online application for a regular job. I had to answer questions like: You are on time to work and answer with Strongly Agree/Agree/Neutral.Disagree/Strongly Disagree. Just a hint, you want to answer with the stongly agree/disagree because it'll make you seem like you have strong convictions.
When I found out I passed the WI, I though my heart was gonna come flying out my chest. Of course my next step was to go searching for the phone (which I had to wait for *Mothers*) ans set up my phone interview. So tomorrow morning at 9:45 am EST I will be doing my interview.
Everytime I think about it I want to squeel like a little girl. I think tomight will be a Disney movie marathon. I even rented one of those kids Sing-Along discs from Netflix. I used to watch those when I was little and wanted to be nostalgic. Now, it's just deciding which movies I want to watch.
Oh, and I've been checking Facebook every few minutes to see who passed the WI and stuff. Everyone is soo excited. I figure, that now that apps are out, we'll get a whole lot more people joining the group on Facebook.
Good Luck Everyone!

It's Almost Time
I know I haven't written in a few months but nothing big has been happening on the Disney front for me. I've been mostly working and trying to pay off my bills. But ... it's August now, which means dun, dun, dun ... applications for the CP come out this month.
Now in previous research, I found out that the applications usually come out around the 20th, however, I found out on the Facebook page that there is a slight possibility that the apps will come out on the 16th this year.
Life is about to get more exciting. At least for the next few weeks. The whole application process should keep me occupied for the next month or more. Then, fingers-crossed, I'll be all hopped up on adrenaline from being accepted into the program.
Right now I have to start thinking about the Fall semester and that fact that I need to get books for my classes. I'm taking four classes this Fall. Word Processing Applications 2, Elementary French 1, Interpersonal Communications, and Computerized Office Applications. In total I'll be spending about $350.00 on books. Usually, I'd just buy the books online for cheap, but I can't find the books and supplies I need for cheaper than my schools's bookstore.
I also found out that the theatre I work for is progressing into a completely digital theatre, which means that I'll be back to working on the floor since they won't need any more projectionists. Good thing I'll be working for Disney (;D) when that happens.
Well, that's about it for today. Except that I'm beyond super excited about Disney and can't wait.
Hope you all have a very magical day!

Busy Life
My baby sister is about to graduate from University. I can't believe it. She is so smart and is the first in our family to graduate from college. I know that in like 2 years I'll be graduating, but she is so much smarter than me and I'm really proud of her.
Now, here's the busy part. My mom is throwing her a party this coming Saturday and we've been shopping, shopping, shopping for it. We've also been cleaning the house (which I should be cleaning my room right now) to get ready for our family and friends who will be coming. Not to mention work and cooking dinners.
I'll be happy when everyone goes home. As much as I love seeing family, the quiet will be nice.
So in other DCP news ... I'm still waiting for apps to come out. It's about 75 days until August where I will be faithfully checking the WDWCP site every morning to see if apps are available. :D
Anyways, I've been thinking about housing stuff lately. When I first decided to do the program, I decided that I wanted to get a 3 bedroom apartment in either Chatham or Patterson but now I've decided that I want a 2 bedroom in Patterson. This had mostly to do with the issue of fridge space. I think that 4 people sharing a fridge is a bit much but 6 will be way too many. The only reason I don't want a 1 bedroom is that I don't want to be stuck with one person that I can't get along with.
Of course all this advance planning I've been doing will be for naught if I can't get in. Poop! Now I'm being pessimistic. *Think happy thoughts!* Come January I WILL be heading down to Disney World to work.
There ... now I feel good.
Enjoy the rest of your magically rainy day. ;P

Music to Combat Waiting
For those of you fighting to combat the long, long time until applications come out, I've found that listening to Disney music stations help. My favourite can be found on Live 365 called WDW Live. It has songs from the parks as well as from the various movies and cartoons. You can visit the website by clicking this link:
Enjoy! Only about 3 and a half months til we can start watching for apps.

Things To Do In Disney
Once I'm in Disney, I have a list of things that I'd like to do.
- Eat/drink around the world - trying at least one food or drink from each pavillion in World Showcase
- Hats - I want to take a photo of me wearing a hat from every country in World Showcase
- Theme days - Pick a theme for the day i.e. Jungle and ride the safari all day
- Character Meets - Try and find as many characters as possible to get autographs and photos
- Hidden Mickey - Try to find a post hidden mickeys from all the parks
- Universal Studios - Visit the park at least once
- Cique du Soleil - La Nouba must be seen at least once during the program
- Parades - See every parade
- Fireworks - See all the fireworks shows
- Resorts - I want to visit every single one of the resorts, especially Animal Kingdom Lodge
I just created a Facebook page the other day. I've had a Facebook before but all I did was use it for apps. This time I plan on using it for finding info on the DCP and networking with other future CPers. I already joined the Spring/Spring Advantage 2011 group. I didn't think that there would be a group yet. I spent most of yesterday (when I should have been cleaning) checking out the discussion posts. It's kinda cool meeting all the potential Spring CPers and seeing what they're like.
I might even be able to find my future roomate in the group. Who knows?

The List
My title sounds a little ominous doesn't it? But really this post is just going to be me listing all my favourite Disney things. So here goes.
Favourite Movie: Beauty and the Beast and Tinkerbell are tied.
Favourite Character: Tinker Bell (she's my homegirl :D)
Favourite Princess: I have 3-Cinderella, Belle, and Aurora
Favourite Prince: Naveen cause he looks good, can sing, and plays an instrument.
Favourite Movie Duo: Timon and Pumbaa (Who doesn't love them?)
Favourite Disney Park: Magic Kingdom follwed extremely closely by Epcot (love Morocco)
Favourite Disney Ride: Space Mountain; I love the thrill and adrenaline it induces.
Favourite Disney Show: Don't have one; the only show I've seen is Nemo the Musical :(
So yeah ... that's the list. I can't really think of anything else I should add to it right now but I might post an updated list later on. Perhaps once I get in to the program.

Advisor Meeting
So today I had an appointment with my advisor at school about next semester's registration. I signed up for my classes for next Fall and I also talked to her about the DCP.
I was a little tense going into the meeting. I had been asuming the worst and expected her to protest my going to the DCP. I had even prepared a few reasons and rehearsed contradictions to her reasons why I shouldn't. Turned out I didn't need them at all.
My advisor had, at one point in the meeting, said that I should be able to graduate in Spring 2011 but then I told her about Disney and she got excited. So this Fall I'll be applying for DCP with the full backing of my advisor. She said it would be a great experience for me (which I agree with).
Now, all I need to do is continue saving money and apply.
Yeah! It looks so much more real to me now. :D

Role Change
I decided to change my top three roles.
On another note, I've talked with my mom about registering my car under my name and getting my own car insurance. That and finding out about renter's insurance for the apartments.
It might not be very smart but I already started buying stuff for when I go to Florida. I am an optimist at heart. I just can't conceive that I might not get in when I apply. I bought bedding that looks pretty cute and awesome at the same time. And I found a suction cup shower shelf-thing. That way I'll be able to put my toiletries on the shelf in the shower without having the counter cluttered or having to bring my stuff into and out of the bathroom every time I need a shower.
Whoever I room with is going to have an adventure rooming with me. :D
- Housekeeping
- Character Attendant
- Merchandise

More DCP
So the past couple of days I've been reading some great blogs written by people who are applying, gotten into, or have been to Disney as a CP. They've given me a much better idea of what to expect from the program. Like the crazy hours you can work or the great perks you get.
This is going to be amazing.
I have all of March, April, May, June, July, and maybe August before I'll be able to apply for the Spring Advantage 2011 program but I can't stop thinking about it. I wonder when the actual date is that the application will be put out. I hope it's sometime in August but I guess I can wait til September.
I want to be one of those people who receive a purple folder in the mail and know that I'll soon be working in Disney World as a Cast Member.
Alright, so aside from the ramblings of the above paragraphs, I have decided which roles I will be putting down as interested in. They are
One thing that I just don't want to do is Quick service Food and Beverage. I know that they have a hard time filling those spots but I've tried food work before in Target's Food Ave and I just didn't like it. I'm looking for new experiences too, so I want to explore new roles.
Five or Six months and counting to go until application time. Why oh why can't time just speed up a little? :D
See ya next time!

- Housekeeping -Because I like to help keep things organized and I think it is something that can help make a guest’s stay on property that much more relaxing and special.
- Transportation - Because I think it would be a different experience than most people would have. And I would be able to interact with guests on a daily basis.
- Character Attendant - I love the look on kids’ faces when they meet their favourite character for the first time and being there to see it would be “magical” and a privilege.

Disney College Program
Okay so I set this blog up to have an outlet for my Disney-obsessed brain. I had originally decided to give myself a two-week vacation to Disney World after I graduate for my community college. However, I have decided that, instead, I will be applying for Disney's College Program.
My one aunt went to CP for a year and loved it, which is what first got me interested in the program. Since then, about 2+ years ago, I have looked into it off and on. I had decided that I wanted to enter the program for this current SPring's semester but after meeting with my college advisor, decided that I should finish school first.
Now, however, I decided that I can't possibly wait any longer than I have to. The only problem is that I will have to wait and apply for next spring's program because I don't have the money to go down to Florida right now. If I was really bad, I could put it on my credit cards, but my mom made me see reason. I've read some comments recently about how little money people have while doing the program which I could avoid if I have a lot saved up before I go.
Besides, I still have to pay for car insurance and possibly health insurance while I'm down there. So from now until I apply and, fingers-crossed, I get in, I will need to save every penny I can. I've already been saving up any cash I can. I bought a little lock-box to organize all of the cash and coins I save.
So my plans are this:

So my plans are this:
- Save, Save, Save
- Apply to DCP
- Get in to DCP
- Pack up my stuff into my car ( a tiny little Kia)
- Drive to Disney (probably with my mom)
- Work crazy hours and get little sleep
- Be extremely happy about working for Disney World
